What it does: The gel formula allows for an even application to prepare eyes for lasting looks.
How to use: Using the wand applicator, dot a small amount of primer onto the eyelid and eye area as needed. Blend with your fingertips or a brush. Follow with eye makeup.

New Chanel Base eye shadow -- Not a fan
Need to return. Horrible replacement for the base eye foundation Chanel used to sell. Product doesn't dry fast, biggest issue is that it doesn't hold the shadow when putting on -- it pills or sheds and you have a mess on your face. Has Chanel addressed these issues. Why change a product that worked well. I am going to return and try another brand.

I loved the previous Chanel eyeshadow base. Amazing flesh tone/color and formula that really worked. I was told by Chanel staff that because of issues with the applicator, a new version was developed. This is awful. Doesn’t work at all.

Not as good as the original.
I love all Chanel & have been using the skin care & make-up for over 30 years! Sometimes I wish they would leave well enough alone. The is eye shadow base is sub-standard compared to the previous. The gel is more drying & I too noticed my eye shadow & liner require more layers to be applied. The previous base evened out my skin tone and my make-up always stayed fresh all day... not so with this one.

The placebo effect?
It is nice and smooth, but... does absolutely nothing! I applied it on one eye and nothing on the other and there was no difference what so ever!
