What it is: A voluptuous, intensely feminine luminous floral fragrance inspired by the free and passionate woman who became Coco Chanel.

Fragrance story: Composed by in-house perfumer-creator Olivier Polge, this deep and enveloping scent evokes the true essence of Gabrielle Chanel. The fragrance is an imaginary flower, faceted with jasmine, ylang-ylang, orange blossom and the most captivating flower of all—grasse tuberose. Solar and voluptuous, it is the scent of a radiant woman. Its striking square glass bottle features bold golden accents on the cap and label.

Style: Floral.

Notes: Jasmine, ylang-ylang, orange blossom, grasse tuberose.

I received a sample of Gabrielle Essence with another order and sprayed it casually onto myself while rummaging through the box. I immediately logged into the app and purchased this within minutes. A gorgeous, gorgeous fragrance. It’s not necessarily unique but there is something special about it and I feel at home wearing it. Very bright and almost fruity at first, then dries down into a modestly sexy, soapy amber-like cream well suited for cold weather. I do not regret the impulse buy.

Wears off very fast

This is the 2nd high end perfume I’ve bought within a year where the scent dissipates extremely fast. It smells wonderful, don’t get me wrong. It just doesn’t last. It seems perfume companies changed something where the scent just doesn’t last long... maybe to encourage us to buy more?

Perfection

This is my only perfume. As a chronic migraine sufferer, I had given up ever wearing perfumes. My mother's signature fragrance is Chanel #5 so I recently gave Chanel another chance, trying Gabrielle Essence. I'm so glad I did. It does NOT trigger my migraines. The first blast of scent is strong and then it mellows, lasting all day. The floral scents are beautiful but neither overpowering or too youthful (I'm 56). If you find spicy or musky perfumes too heavy give Gabrielle Essence a try. FYI- I much preferred Essence to plain Gabrielle.

Scent of Autumn

I’ve always purchased Chanel perfume, but I wanted try something different. The scent is pure autumn essence. It’s absolutely perfect for date night, the aroma is feminine and bold.

bit disappointed in lasting power

This scent is gorgeous! no denying that. When I first took a whiff of it, I knew I wanted it to be my wedding scent. Which it was and I was really bummed out that the scent faded as soon I walked out the door and I sprayed myself at lest 5 times. Still keeping the bottle for keepsake and will use up but still not good lasting power .. in my opinion of course

GABRIELLE REBORN!

I already love the original version of this scent but this is even better! It lasts longer and it smells a bit stronger and I love it! Will be adding this to my ever growing Chanel collection.

Beautiful Winter Fragrance
