Cham Reduc Storm Gore-Tex^® SE Sneaker (Men)

Very stiff, not comfortable at all. Cannot wear all day, they cause pain on the top of my foot. I bought these to replace my Chameleon 8 shoes because my size always seems to be out of stock. I am not happy with them at all. I ended up purchasing a pair of Moab 3's to replace these even though I prefer the bungee laces.

Super unfortunate miss. Really wanted to like these. I was really excited to get them in and try them out because I love the Cham 8. But these are so stiff and so uncomfortable. The tongue has way too much material and digs into the top of your feet. It actually left bruises on the top of both of my feet. I had to return them and it hurt my feelings. Also… my feet were sweating in them and making the GTX material have little dark wet spots which was uhh… unappealing.

I had high hopes on these. I loved the design and form. The upper has a nice pattern and the gtx is just icing on the cake there. Unfortunately- the midsoles feel like bricks. There’s zero give so the only cushion is the insoles…. For short uses this is fine but if you want to walk say on vacation? Not your best option. The outsoles can sometimes be slippery (haven’t figured out which surfaces/wet conditions cause this) as well which is very ironic given they’re gtx water resistant. Don’t buy.

I was looking for a good-looking waterproof sneaker and this meets what I expected. I wore these out during a full day of showers and they did not disappoint. Some additional notes: (1) While they are the same size as my other Merrells, they are slightly looser - I would still get the same size as my other shoes, since even a half size smaller would be too tight; if you plan on running in these, then maybe a half size smaller might be the move. (2) These are stiff at first and take more breaking in than a normal sneaker. (3) Traction is good, but not to the level of a hiking shoe (for example, for use in mud).
