Central Park Large Sling

Purshased to use as my purse after breaking my pelvis and elbow- works excellent - love having my phone easily accessible and the exterior multipacks- could use an extra divider in the inside but works for me!! I love their travel bags especially when in other countries or even in the US when know I will be in crowds.

I own two of the smaller version of the Central Park Sling and just love everything about them. I wanted to get the larger version for excursions, so I could carry water and maybe a sweater in the bag. The larger version was, however, a disappointment. It was well made and similar in several aspects to the smaller bag, but there were differences. I love the water pockets, which could also carry a small umbrella. What I didn't like was the phone pouch attached to the sling strap. I found it to be too high -- almost up against my cheek -- when I had the bag on my back. Plus, the sling strap is not self-contained in the length adjustment buckle like it is in the smaller version. On the larger bag, at least a foot of strap swings freely, which looks sloppy and is annoying. When I put the bag in front, my preferred way to carry a sling, the phone pocket is on my back and upside down. I looked to see if it could be carefully removed. It appears to be stitched on (not glued), but the sides of the pocket are included in the binding of the strap. I'm an accomplished seamstress and would attempt removing it, but there's another unacceptable problem. I didn't like the main compartment, the large compartment up against your back or chest. On the smaller version, both side zippers open into one compartment. On the larger bag, each zipper has it's own small compartment, so it couldn't hold a sweater like I intended; however, the pouch in front of the back compartment could. Still, the smaller back compartments seem pretty useless. If Baggallini had stuck with the original smaller version and just made it larger and added the water pockets, I would love this bag, but (sadly) I returned it. Please try, again, Baggallini.
