Love This Vest

I love Barbour and own several jackets, all in a size US 10. After reading these reviews though, I was afraid this vest may not fit. Lo and behold, it fits perfectly, just like all my other Barbour items. So here is the issue: UK sizing is TWO numerical sizes larger than US sizes. So a US 10 is a UK 14. You must read the sizing correctly. Nordies is pretty good about using both sizes in the drop-down, but if you ordered quickly and didn't pay attention, you probably hit the wrong size. This is a great vest, though!

pretty but not for busty ladies

Sadly, I could not find the right size. My normal size really squeezed and flattened my chest and the next size up gaped under the arms. I wear a 34G so I think it’s probably just a personal problem. Returned.

Order 2 sizes up if you plan to layer

Lovely vest, a classic with an in chic ivory. It's very cute, but fitted. If you want to layer with this -- like even just over a sweater -- I would recommend going two sizes up. I'm normally a 4 US and I went for the 6 US and it is form-fitting. I'm exchanging for an 8 US because I'll just get more use out of it this way.

Cool Vest & sizing feedback

If in doubt about the high price, just buy it, it's really cute. As for sizing, I'm 5' 2", 109 lbs, 32D demi bra, not very curvy. I bought size 8 (online), and doubted my decision. Fully zipped, (wearing a thin Thermaskin and cotton turtleneck) the vest fit perfectly in the stomach area, but was blousy in the upper chest and loose under the arms. I was forced to visit the store, then found out, this was an online only item. They ordered me a size 6 (I'm normally a 4/6) which is slightly tight in the stomach area, but the top half fits and looks great. The two-way zipper makes it possible to adjust any snugness.

Runs reallllly small

I like the vest. It’s a nice quality and color. But normally I wear an 8 and could barely get the zipper up on this thing.

favourite vest

I have about 6 vests hanging in my hall closet and this is the one I reach for again and again and again. It's warm, versatile, and looks just as good with leggins and jeans as it does with a smart part of trousers. For American sizes, it runs a little small so I'd suggest sizing up one size.

Simply beautiful

Talk about an easy way to dress up any top, especially a turtleneck. I have three of these Barbour vests and the blackberry color is simply beautiful.
