Cavalry Fleece Lined Quilted Jacket

After reading the reviews I sized up one size to a 4. Besides running overall small, I found this jacket to be especially fitted in the hips. Sizing up two sizes to accommodate the hip area makes the bust and shoulders too large for me. Too bad. It is a quality jacket in a soft red with nice details - and it is washable! I preferred it over the Barbour waxed cotton jackets I tried. For reference the size 4 laying flat is approximately 27" in length down the back from shoulder to hem. The sleeves are 23 1/2" from shoulder to wrist. The waist is 29" and hips are 34 1/2".

Beautiful, low key quilted jacket. Very fitted, the back is slightly longer than the front and gives you a very "equestrienne" look. Definitely go up one size. I am 5 foot 2 inches, 112 pounds and I purchased a size 6 after trying on in my local Nordy's store. Is very fitted in the waist,so if you are thicker through the waist you will want to size up at least one or two sizes. I ordered the Navy, which almost looks black. Will look sensational with riding boots and skinny jeans.

I am taking the time to write this review and I hope SOMEONE at Nordstroms reads it. There were many issues with sizing and I took a chance and ordered the US12/UK14. Well I got a coat in a bag with a Nordies label 14. When I took it out - I could see it was no were near that size. The Barbour Label inside said 10 (UK and really a US 6) and the Norstrom tag was 14 - which is not a US 14! This is going back and I am hoping someone fixes the sizing on the next. Your quality is slipping Nordstroms.

I ordered this jacket because of the many positive reviews, but found it just so-so. The shape is stiff and unflattering, and the sleeves are surprisingly long (and I'm 5'8" with long arms). The fleece lining -- it's just called "polyester" in the product description -- makes it too warm and bulky for year-round general-purpose Bay Area wear. So it's going back. A sizing note: Contrary to the majority of reviewers, I did NOT find that the jacket ran small. I ordered my usual size 8 as well as a 10 (U.S.), and found the 8 to be plenty large. (Granted, I do not have broad shoulders or a large bust.)

I usually wear an 8 but due to reviews stating that this jacket runs small, I ordered both the 8 and the 10. The 10 fit, barely. I couldn't wear a sweater under it and even with just a light summer shirt it was uncomfortably confining in the chest and shoulders. I couldn't imagine driving comfortably while wearing it. I liked the style though, so I returned those and ordered the 12, but it turned out to be really huge and just hung like a sack. There really seemed to be a big jump in sizing between 10 and 12. So that went back too.
