What it is: An all-in-one mascara that delivers endless length, intense volume and sky-high lift for extreme, dramatic lashes.

What it does: This mascara is designed with a 4D amplifier brush which combines two brushes in one to deliver volume, length, lift and definition for extreme lashes. It saturates lashes from root to tip for the most volume in a single stroke while perfectly coating the bottom lashes without smudging onto the lower lashline. The tapered end reaches even the smallest lashes in the corner of your eyes. The smooth, buildable, ultrablack formula creates dramatic but weightless lashes that don't smudge or flake.

- 94% said lashes looked longer and lifted

How to use: Starting at the base of your lashes, pull the mascara brush through from root to tip. Layer until your desired effect is achieved. It removes easily with soap and water.

HG mascara

I have used so many mascaras over the years and I usually return to Lancome Hypnose because it is the best of the bunch. I got a sample of this and had to buy full size. Initially I wanted to return because I felt like it just clumped and looked awful. I figured out I should NOT use mascara primer as I have always had to. I have short straight asian lashes and this keeps the curl and doesn't cause racoon eyes during my 12 hour shifts. This is usually only true with waterproof mascaras which I don't like cause they seem to dry out my lashes too much. It is hard to remove but I use the drunk elephant makeup melting balm and it comes off easily with that. It lengthens and volumes wonderfully! Just make sure not to use a primer and use a good lash comb. It is so nice to have one mascara that does it all instead of having to layer different mascaras to get the full lash look.

Sticky, clumpy mess

I am a huge fan of Hourglass products, so I was EXTREMELY disappointed when I received this mascara. From the first use, it was clumpy, sticky and left my eyelashes looking stubby. In order to use the product, I must clean the brush with a tissue with each dip, thereby completely wasting all of the money spent on the product to begin with.. I returned the unopened tube I had ordered immediately and will clearly never purchase this product again.

9 tubes and counting

This is my absolute favorite mascara. In fact, ever since I tried it, I have never bought another kind of mascara. Before this, I had tried probably 35 high end best-selling mascaras, some that were significantly more expensive than this. I was just never satisfied. I have long, fine, blonde, straight eyelashes. So the length is okay to begin with, but otherwise I really need help. This one is definitely a dramatic mascara, there is no doubt about it. 2 coats and I wonder why anyone bothers with false lashes. It lifts the lashes, it's PITCH black, and it doesn't smudge or flake. It is my DREAM mascara. However, I'm the type of person who looks good with a thick mascara formula on both top and bottom lashes, so... it may be for you, it may not. If you're trying to be subtle or look "natural" this one is not going to give you that look. This is for the major impact look. All that said, I get compliments from literally everyone about my eyelashes wearing this, and no one has ever said it looked clumpy. Just make sure you work the brush really well and style your eyelashes while applying.

Amazing mascara

This is an amazing mascara! I have tried so many mascaras over the years, it’s ridiculous. My lashes are not particularly long or thick but with HOURGLASS they look long and thick! The brush applicator allows me to apply just the right amount on my lashes and the actual product goes on well and doesn’t flake or run, even in the Florida heat. A definite keeper.

Sticky, clumpy mess

Best Mascara

Run, don’t walk to purchase this mascara. I have tried countless other products and this is one I purchase again and again. The formula is amazing, doesn’t flake off, run or smudge. It’s also buildable so you can go full, almost false lash looking glam.

Not what I expected

I was disappointed that the second time I used this mascara, it was clumping on my eyelashes. I also had hoped it would not smudge. That’s what was advertised but it did smudge on to the skin below my eyes.
