perfect casual maxi
This dress offers the casual maxi style, without the typical voluminous cut. The gathers give a flattering shape and make an interesting update to a summer staple. I might have Nordstrom alterations make the arm holes smaller. They made a similar alteration for me on another Caslon summer dress with perfect results.

Not right for me
I went with other reviews and ordered a size down. That did make it fit without showing anything around the sleeves. However, I decided to send it back. I found the skirt interesting: I liked the gentle hi-low design and the layers. The waist however sat just under my waist and I didn’t feel it suit my shape. Also, while I was happy the wider tank top fit covered straps, something about the shape compared with the lower waist just wasn’t working. Maybe if the waist was closer to my own, could have fit more loosely without showing anything.... the skirt felt more interesting than the top and the fabric too thin.

Rises too high in front
