I need to size up, which is unusual for Caslon. Pockets hit me in a weird spot, hopefully that will improve with a larger size.

pockets!
Oh man. This dress could have been perfect, if not for the pockets! It’s a great heavier 100% cotton material. Love the sleeves for sun protection and the cute back detail, but the pockets…they awkwardly stick out as other reviews have said. They also add bulk to your mid section. Even at 5’5” the hit right at my mid to low belly. Very unflattering. So I bought a seam ripper and out they came. This is the only reason I gave 3 stars. The dress is salvageable, if you have the time, skill and energy. Otherwise hard pass! True to size 5’5” 125lbs size small for reference.

Pocket problems
I have been searching for a short sleeve cotton dress, and was so happy to find this Caslon dress. I tried both the large and medium. Love the sleeve and dress length as well as key hole back opening; however, the pockets which are sewn on the side seam, stick straight out even after pressing them. I love cotton blend slub knit, but this fabric is fairly heavy. I purchased to wear casually on hot sticky days, so this is too thick for that purpose. Would love this style in a bit lighter fabric and perhaps pockets sewn in the front.

Disappointment in fit
Going to Europe in August and wanted a versatile LBD to have for the trip. This did not fit as recommended, very "boxy" and the pockets make it so you cannot add a belt to give it some defined shaped. Unfortunately had to return it but that was a great process where Nordstrom's returns are free.
