La Panthère Eau de Parfum Spray

I have been very disapointed with my purchase of Cartier's parfum La Panthere. I was given a gift of this marvelous fragrance on my birthday in August 2022. Everywhere I went, after applying a mist of this perfume, I was complemented on the aroma I brought into the room - it was never overpowering nor overbearing but was truly a delight to wear. So, after being without this favorite fragrance, I decided to purchase a bottle - I knew it would be the most expensive perfume I had ever bought but it would be worth it to be able to leave a fragrance in the air wherever I had been! I googled Cartier's on line and found out it was sold at Nordstroms. I found it among the selections and bought it. I paid $144.00 before taxes and shipping and it arrived posthaste. I was delighted to have it and opened the package at once it was the same familiar container except the bottle did not have the profile of a panther within the outer glass. Instead it was smooth - no image. When I sprayed it on my wrist, it did not smell as the few drops I had in the original gift. I thought something is wrong with my nose and put the perfume away. The next day, I went to church and wore my new perfume, which I sprayed on my wrists and neck under my ears. A few minutes later I smelled my wrists - nothing! I asked my husband how he liked my new perfume and had him smell my neck - he said I should put it on before I ask him to smell it! I felt I was spritzing on water... Will the aroma I am seeking take time to develop to create a lovely seductive aroma or did I buy a faux pas? I have been very disappointed and will not buy anything else from Nordstrom - which means nothing to you but none-the-less, I wanted to pass along my feelings of huge disappointment
