Caribou^™ WP Waterproof Boot (Women)

I was born and raised in Lake Tahoe, California and still live here. We only wear the REAL BOOTS in the cold weather up here. No room for uggs here. Sorry. Sorels are completely water proof and water resistant. The boots can work even in 40 below weather and still keep your feet warm (without heating devices). All the ski resorts have their employees wear them while working outside too. Amazing boots! Rock on Sorel! I still have mine from six years ago. Tiff.

Although these boots are high quality (you can tell the minute you take them out of the box), they were HUGE! After reading comments I decided to stick with my normal size 9 (I am an 8.5-9 in all shoes) and the 9's felt like moon shoes. Firstly they are extremely heavy, the regular width was extremely wide, and they are extra long! These are certainly a size-down item (even with thick socks- don't be fooled by other comments), however I was afraid they'd still be too clunky. Ultimately I returned them and I'm still on the hunt for the perfect winter boot!

So I have wanted these to replace my uggs... these are way more durable and water proof and don't involve having to hear about disturbing youtube videos. These are a lot heavier but I guess it makes sense that they will last longer. I compared them to the other styles by Sorel (which are more dainty), but these are also featured on all the J.Crew photos, which vouches for their timeless-ness. They have some of the most impressive treads. I am keeping them and will probably gain some serious leg strength this winter. They are pretty true to size, I wear and 8.5 and wanted to get a small size so they seemed less bulky but my toes fit perfectly.

I do not like my feet getting cold and these boots are amazing. I can where for hours and I never get cold in the snow. They are easily slipped into on a loose tie or laced up tight for some serious snow treking. The inner booty comes out, a plus. The one draw back is they are a little heavy, the only reson for not getting 5 stars.

I really wanted to like these boots. I'm sure they would keep you warm and dry. However, they were huge! I ordered my regular size and I was swimming in them both in length and width. I don't have narrow feet. I don't live close to a store and didn't want to order and return various sizes so I went with another Sorel winter boot.
