big upper and smaller lower

The dress is very pretty on hanger, howeve the square neck is too wide and may be is good for someone with wider shoulders. I am St John size 8, but 8 was too big on the top, so I ordered size 6 from 3 stores hoping one of them is made correctly but they also where big on top and bottom was true to size. will return all.
