Brutus Combat Boot (Men)

Ordered these boots after having them on my wishlist for sometime. I’ve owned Camper shoes and boots in the past and can say with certainty that these neither feel nor look like something designed and made by Camper. The boots have a very underwhelming, standard, mass-produced-look that is somehow not well translated in the Nordstrom photos; the boots seem flatter than pictured- like $40 converse with a military sole, the soles are thinner than they appear in the online photos, leather feels thin and looks artificial and dull, they’re too lightweight (to the point they feel cheap when on), and just overall seem like a “Canal Street version” of what the Ndstrm product photos depict (in other words: not up to par with the brands previous design or quality) AND… This pair of boots have absolutely been worn, but I’m getting to that: not sure who or where these shipped from but they came loose in a very large box with no foam/paper inside the boots, as one would expect with a new/unworn product - and only a single small sheet (11x14) of newsprint that I’m guessing was intended to somehow miraculously prevent damage to booth boots and their leather as they sailed through the cavernous box they arrived in… if that was the intention: guys, I have some bad news…: both boots have a number of small scuffs on the toes, sides and even on the soles, (cause someone wore them beyond just trying them and then were resold as a new/unworn product to me) -that or -someone threw the floor sample in a box and just shipped me that, which seems unlike something Nordstrom would do and more like a third party packing/shipping co… Anyway, Sorry to be one of these reviews but this purchase was a big disappointment on several levels (especially for the price and brand reputation) and i will be returning these as soon as the local Nordstrom unlocks their doors in the morning.
