Rose Hand Wash

For the price, I expected something really wonderful. This is definitely not worth the money. The pros: It is easy on the hands. The cons: Very, very heavily perfumed fragrance that does not smell like roses and is difficult to wash away--I can still smell it on me the next day, even after repeated hand-washings with other products. It smells like Grandma's stale dressing table products from the 1940s. If color matters to you, this bottle is purple, not pinky-rose like the picture.

I love the suede version of this handwash but it was sold out so i tried the rose. I was worried it would smell very floral and chintzy - but it's not at all. By bending the rose note with raspberry Byredo have created a scent that is warm but fresh at the same time. I think it lasts longer on the hands than the suede scent - however to my nose it does lean feminine so probably not as unisex as the suede

If like me you love the smell of roses, this is definitely the one for you. The first notes remind me of Rose Turkish Delight, but then the fresher notes come through and as other reviewers say it leaves a subtle scent on your hands for hours. I'm really pleased that it doesn't make your hands dry, unlike the Molton Brown that I used to use. Yes it's an indulgence but you need so little and the bottle is large, I'm certain I'll be using it for months to come.
