Just not for me
I decided to try this after all of the raving reviews however when I received it I took one whiff and instantly knew it wasn't for me. I wasn't able to detect any of the notes or layers described and it gave me an instant headache. It smelled very artificial to me and not something I look for in a fragrance.

Not the same
I like the fragrance in general but it does not smell the same as in the store. I did buy the roller ball. I think it is over priced. I would not buy this again.

Ive had better
Great smell - light, soft tones. However, it doesn’t long lasting; reapplication is needed. I will not purchase it again.

My new favorite
I’ve been wanting to try Byredo for awhile. A new counter just opened in my local store so I was able to smell a lot of their scents. The salesgirl was extremely helpful and when she had me smell the Bal d’Afrique, I was hooked! It is light and feminine with just a hint of sweet. It is not overpowering. While the price is a little steep, you just can’t settle when it comes to perfume. I’m going back to get the hair perfume.
