Giant Icon Check Cashmere Scarf

I thought I would do a side by side comparison of Ivory Check and Stone Check, as both are very similar but not exactly the same. I wanted a white scarf and these were as close as I cold get at the time I bought it. A previous reviewer had stated that the stone check is whiter. This is not really true. The stone check is more gray and has slightly pink tones, while the ivory check is lighter and has slightly yellow tones. The black stripes on both are the same. The red stripes are different - the one on stone check is considerably more of a vibrant red, while the one on the ivory is darker and more magenta-like. The ivory scarf also has a dark yellow stripe that crosses the red while the stone check does not have any yellow stripes (red is the only contrasting color other than black). I should also point out that the stone check is part of Burberry's heritage collection and has a different fabric label (I don't have a pic of it - sorry!). I ended up keeping the ivory because I preferred something lighter, but I will say that both are solid choices - classic neutrals that will go well with any outfit. Scarf does seem a bit thin, but will definitely keep your neck warm :)

I ordered the Burberry oversized check muffler and its beautiful. The only thing I was disappointed in was the fact for a 395.00 scarf it should have come in a Burberry box. It was a gift and the packaging was in a plastic bag in the shipping box. Even if it wasn't a gift it still should have come in a Burberry Box. This is the only reason to give it 4 stars instead of 5.

This scarf is really nice, so soft and stylished. The only reason that I didnt give 5 stars is because of the packaging... yes, it may sound silly but I think it's bad to ship (and later store) a cashmere scarf inside an ugly plastic bag! Come on! I have other fine items, LVs, Prada, Tods and and have nice boxes to keep them in my closet... Other than that this is a great classic addition to my wardrobe!!!
