Ashurst Quilted Jacket

I have been wanting this coat for about 3 years now and finally decided to purchase it. I'm so glad I decided to go try it on in the store because surprisingly, I needed a large instead of a small like I thought. The medium fit, but I tried on a sweater underneath it and it was too tight, so I opted for the large and am so happy with it!

I see a lot of people having trouble with fit. I didn't. I liked it so much I bought 2. I am 5'3 and 135. I bought the medium.

A Nice Burberry Quilted Jacket. True to size. As a reference, I'm 5'4", 108lbs, and 34C. Size Small fits well on me.

This coat is lovely and well made, but not flattering on all figures. I love the Burberry simple aesthetic, but find that most, if not all, of their clothing line isn't tailored to ladies with curves. (I'm 5'1 and 140 lb.) If you can get one of these coats to fit you comfortably and it flatters you- good for you & rock on!

I'm 5'8 tall, weigh 164 pounds. Bra size 38 G = 39 circumferences using a tape measure), waist 30, hips 38. I ordered an XL and the XXL in Navy. The Burberry jacket is beautiful, stylish, well made, comfortable and breathable!!! (will explain later). The material is soft to the touch, inside and out. Two large and deep side pockets with a soft lining to keep hands warm. Extra buttons (bagged) are inside one of the pockets. I ordered a cheaper knockoff look of this Burberry jacket from Nordstrom. The "Gallery Plaid Lined Quilted Barn Jacket" which is now sold out. The Gallery jacket was really cute, but it was like wearing a plastic sheet. I felt sweaty and uncomfortable wearing it, it had no breathability at all. The Burberry jacket not only feels soft, airy and light, but it has great breathability! I never feel hot or sweaty wearing it. The Burberry jacket in XXL was too big. The Burberry XL was a better fit and perfectly sized for a thick sweater or cashmere top to be worn underneath. Could easily wear a size L in this jacket, but not with a thick sweater. I'll be wearing this in Europe during cooler months. If I was going for a more form-fitted look, the L size would have been perfect. So, I'm keeping the XL and returning the XXL. This is my first Burberry coat and I'm so glad I took the plunge! I ardor everything about this jacket.

I'm very small, at five feet and 95 pounds, 34c, so I wanted the Small and Medium. The medium in case the Ashurst felt better with a cardigan. The polyester outer and polyester/cotton lining are nice and the filling between outer and lining was enough for a cool day. Construction is beautiful with the lovely "Burberry Classic Check" lining. I really wanted to like one of the jackets. The Small fit snugly through bust to hips without a cardigan. However, both were about five inches too long on my frame (see the illustration where jacket hits at hip level). Not something you can alter. So I did not get the slim look I was going for.
