Broome Asymmetric Half Zip Long Sleee Maxi Dress

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really wanted to love this dress—I mean, I was rooting for it. For reference, I’m 5'7", 130 lbs, 32C. After reading reviews about the clingy fabric, I sized up to a medium like a responsible online shopper… gold star for me. Unfortunately, the dress had other plans. The bust was still stretched too tight near the bottom of the zipper and under the arms, creating some less-than-flattering puckering—like it was trying to breathe and couldn’t quite manage. And when I say it highlighted every curve, I mean every curve… the flattering ones and the “maybe let’s keep that between us” ones. The cowl neck also didn’t have that effortlessly draped, polished look from the photos. It felt more “meh” than “model-off-duty. ” I think this dress would look amazing on someone with a straighter figure. On me, though, it gave more “overstuffed black sausage casing”. This is the third return out of four items, and I’m noticing a pattern—they seem to run small. To be fair, my hips are just barely over the small size chart, but my waist and chest are solidly within it… hence the medium. Still didn’t save me here. Sadly, this one’s going back too.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love it! This is just what my wardrobe needed. I ended up returning the medium and getting a large even though I'm usually a size 6 in dresses. The arms were tight, as other have mentioned. The large is perfect and still form fitting. I'm 5'6 at 148lbs. I love the return process, they make it so easy to exchange/return items.
