Sympatico 21-Inch International Carry-On

A few years ago we were on the way to the airport in the wee hours of the morning. It was January and snowing. Our neighbor was driving us and had our two Briggs and Riley suitcases in the bed in back. When we arrived at the airport, we dropped the tailgate and NO SUITCASES!!! We retraced our route and found them sitting upright on a snowbank on the side of the road. It looked as though they had bounced out of the truck and fell into the lane of highway traffic and some nice person had put them to the side. We were so happy to retrieve our Briggs and Riley, and to see that both cases had held up beautifully! We still use those same cases today, so when we decided to get a carry on, we knew it had to Briggs and Riley. The carry on had its first international trip and easily held enough clothes and an extra pair of shoes for 5 days. It glides like a dream through the airport, and the case itself is so light. We have been loyal customers of Briggs and Riley and continue to recommend them to friends.

I brought it after Thanksgiving. Had 8 trips already, including 3 countries. Running connections in SFO and HND airport. I couldn’t make it without this carry on bag. It could fit more than I expected. The bag had some scratches from airplane overhead bins. I guess, I will use Marker to cover it. Other than that, it is amazing carry on bag. It fit ANA, Air China , United airlines. 777, 767,757, 737-900,800. Airbus Neo. I didn’t try region jet yet.

I compared B&R with all the major brands including the world- famous Txmi. Ultimately, I decided to go with B&R because of their unconditional lifetime warranty and am very pleased. The other brand now has a 5 year and cost 1/3 more the price. Clearly they're banking on their name. The quality of the B&R is exceptional and wheels are buttery smooth. I absolutely love the compression straps and zippered half to hold clothes tight. The expansion system is uniquely designed without reducing valuable storage, but I have not needed to use it so I cannot comment on its ease-of-use or durability - but who cares, it's lifetime warrantied. The extended handle is right height for carrying my computer backpack and has several adjustments as expected. Even with the extra weight of a fully loaded backpack the wheels work exceptional across all types of flooring including carpet. It has two grab handles for loading into overhead bins. The TSA lock system works well. My only minor complaint is the zipper handles feel a bit strange during operation in order to accommodate the locking mechanism. But I'm sure I will get used to it. The phone pocket is a nice addition too. Plus the luggage comes with a dust cover for storage in the garage. Bonus. . . unconditional lifetime warranty as opposed to a limited 5 year for the other brand. If you're looking for exceptional quality with better warranty for less money, I highly recommend you give B&R a try. I will definitely be buying additional sizes from B&R in the future.
