Body Silk Seamless Maternity/Nursing Bra

I've purchased a number of different brands of nursing bras (playtex, bravado and Pea in a pod come to mind) and Bravado's are my favourite by far. I'm 5'5", was 120lb pre-pregnancy and am about 130/135 1 year post-partum, still nursing. Purchased Medium, it fits well to start on the largest hooks and as the elastic softens I'll work my way in. I was a b/c cup prior to pregnancy and had a big change in my bust through pregnancy so now am looking for much more supportive, but not constrictive (thank you clogged ducts) bras. These are my go-tos. They don't pinch, bind, or give me any issues with clogged ducts. There is no mono-boob look with them and they lay nicely under slim fitting shirts or dresses. Easy to clip down for nursing and not loud to wake a sleeping baby. The first time I tried it on I felt like my old self, but it could have been that my old bras were worn out so my boobs weren't sitting where they should have been! My 1 star off a perfect review is because they have removable foam cup inserts that as a mother with a newborn/infant/toddler - nobody has time for fiddling about with bra inserts!! They've ended up in a drawer or bunched up inside the bra when I wash them and forget to remove them first.

I ordered this bra in the pink shade ‘Lipstick’ in a size small, as I am currently a 34A (5’0” and weigh 110lbs, with pretty much all of weight in my belly and boobs right now). The small fit on the last hook, but it didn’t feel comfortable, so I sized up to a medium, and feel that the medium provides me much more comfort and additional room to grow. I am only currently 18 weeks pregnant, so I can’t review this bra from a nursing perspective, but the clasps provided to unhook to breastfeed looks pretty good and works easily for me. I highly recommend to size up.

This bra is comfortable and makes pumping/breastfeeding easy. Sometimes the pads get stuck when you flip them down, but you can easily fix them. My only issue with the bra is that the more you wash it, the tighter it gets. Even with the straps all the way loose it became super tight on my shoulders. When pregnant I wore a 32DDD, currently wearing a medium in this bra.

I bought this in white and the cups are completely visible through the bra - definitely not how it looks in the picture. I tried it under a white shirt and could see the cups through the shirt. It was fine otherwise but not worth the $50 price tag in my opinion. I like the ones I got at target way more than this one! I’m usually a 32DDD and the medium fits and does give pretty good support; I’m wearing it while pregnant so I haven’t tried it for nursing yet.
