What it is: A botanical bond-building, three-layer repair serum that will nourish, soften and smooth strands to recover the essentials lost by daily assaults

What it does: This plant-powered hair serum features a formula designed to create new bonds by the thousands, strengthen hairs cortex, prevent and protect strands from damage and reduce the appearance of split ends. Featuring Aveda's pure-fume aroma, this serum won't only have your strands looking their healthiest, but smelling fresh as can be.

How to use: Apply serum to lengths and ends at bedtime and do not rinse. Sleep on it. In morning, style as usual. Use generously. Section hair into four sections. Emulsify product in hands and work a generous amount into each section. Then comb through with a paddle brush.

Pro tips: Apply during the day to your ends for instant split end repair.

Fantastic product

I used my Aveda points to get the 30ml sized bottle of this. I'm in my 60s and never in my life has a product had such an effect on my hair. Since I was 15 I've always washed my hair every 1-3 days and now for the first time ever I can go 5-6 days without washing it. It's transformed my fine wavy/curly hair and I'm so grateful. Definitely recommend.

I received this with My Aveda Points .. I had really High expectations .. it dried My hair, felt bitty to run a brush through, added static and didn't do anything noticeable that was Positive.

Makes my hair textured and not smooth

I have dry frizzy hair that breaks easily and I love most of the botanical repair line except this one, which is sad because I spent so much on it and couldn't return it because it was from a salon. I tried making it through in all different ways, wet hair before blow drying, dry hair at night, as treatment for my ends, but every time my hair lost smoothness and felt more textured. Not the look I was going for. I really tried to make this work for the last few months and just can't.

Feels sticky

Not really sure it’s extremely lightweight serum smells extremely strong very musky, on application it made my hair feels very sticky and I couldn’t stand the smell it’s very strong, I only use it now the night before washing my hair to avoid the sticky feeling but I’m not sure if I noticed any difference yet my hair still look the same.

So disappointed with this one

The first time I used this serum I think I used too much of the product since my hair looked like I added a ton of gel on it. The strands completely stuck together. I had to wash it in the morning since it looked like a dirty mess. It took hours to dry, so it was not nice to sleep with it. It kept sticking to my face during the whole night. I didn't get a good night's sleep and I had to change my pillow case in the morning. After that I used just 3-4 pumps for my whole hair. I would use it usually 2 hours before I go to sleep so it can be completely dry. After it dried my hair ends would still stick together so it felt like it was very tangled. In general, I didn't see any big changes with my hair in the morning. My hair was more stiff and it felt heavy. Unlike other products from this range, this one was a huge disappointment to me. I will definitely try to give it to someone else.
