Catara Virgin Wool & Cashmere Coat

This coat is beautiful. The exact style I was looking for. Enough room in the shoulders and sleeves to wear over a thick sweater or blazer. Only problem is I am too short for it to look good on me. I am only 5’2”. Wool is a bit thin for Michigan winters.

The coat looks nice and the fit is good. For reference my hips are 35.5 so right at the size measurements for a 2. I can fit a sweater on underneath and still button. You could leave the bottom button undone to give you more room in the hips. It’s slightly too wide in the shoulders for me personally but may accommodate someone with a wider build up top. The first button is lower down so may also leave more room for someone bustier - I’m a 32C. The material is much thinner than my Fleurette coat which is 100% wool. If you’re in a northern state, it most likely won’t keep you warm enough - you’d want to size up for layering. The color is very nice. When I first took it out of the bag I was disappointed by the feel of the material (90%wool 10% cashmere) - has a scratchy feel.

made for a tall person. The size 4 fit in the shoulders - but I'm only 5'2". This was made for a 5'8" person. Too bad this coat doesnt come in petite. :(

I am 5'4" and the proportions were all wrong. I need a petite for it to work. The quality and tailoring is great.

Beautiful fabric. I purchased the black coat in size 8. The coat needed some alterations for a better fit through the waist...love the overall outcome.

Beautiful, awesome coat. The only reason I am giving it a '4' rating is that I am petite and lean and it is a trifle big on me. The darts on it make alterations very difficult, if even possible. Nevertheless, I will wearing this coat during the winter and with some thicker gauge sweaters underneath, it will look fantastic!
