Indie Waterproof Bootie (Women)

I really love the look of this shoe. It's beautiful! I feel tall, elegant and regal in them. They go with my everyday style and I feel they are a real bonus add to my wardrobe. But if feet could suffocate, they would absolutely die from this shoe. There is no room to go anywhere in this shoe. It does not stretch or give, it just gets tighter throughout the day as your feet squirm and reach for air or even mercy from the Gods. I know I need to return these shoes, but it is so hard to find a flat, military boot I like that doesn't make me look like a mom or Avril Levine from the 90s... and it's proven even harder to find one I can actually tolerate the fit of. Anywho- purchase at your own risk. If you have wide feet, I'd say no. European styles in general are a no.

These have been my go to for fall, winter, and weeks of early spring. I treated mine with a camper shoes leather spray to boost their ability to repel some water. I would not wear these in drenching rain longer than 15mins. Running to get inside your parked car at a 4 minute distance in downpour in these is super fine. I chase after my elementary aged child in these too and even been in muddy plots and it shows until I freshen them up again. I like their worn look. I just worry about rubber sole holding up for another year.
