Hudson Waterproof Boot (Women)

Stunning boots in person. Big lug sole which I'm not a huge fan of but I know it will be practical when I am on ice. The toe box is ample, and will accommodate a nice thick sock in winter if needed. Very well made and comfortable right out of the box. I ordered size 38 as I wear a size 7 in shoes, and because I don't have a narrow foot. Rating these only 3 stars because the listed sizing is off. I have a size 7 foot and I know for a FACT my calf is 14" around because I ride horses and have to know the precise dimensions of my short, muscular calves in order to buy riding boots. My 14" circumference is, btw, considered "regular" for most mfg, not even wide. So I do not believe I have an excessively wide calf. The description of these said the boots are 14.5 around the top. In the size 38 I ordered, the calf was tight. A 14.5" circumference should have left room to spare with pants. I put these on today over thin yoga pants and was surprised I had to tug at the zipper. I would guess the circumference is closer to 14, which just fits but there's not much room for pants or high socks. I am hopeful they will stretch a little over time but fit is important in quality gear. Please amend the description so athletic people can get the right size!

Everything I read pointed to these boots being waterproof, reliable, quick and easy to get on and off. I bought them as a birthday present to myself in November 2021. It is now January 2022. After wearing them MAYBE a handful of times, the back seam is ripped on the left boot and the front is scuffed from the right boot bottom. While the calf is tight as the other reviews state, they fit me like a glove and I really liked them up until this point. Very disappointed in this purchase and will be contacting the company directly as this seems like a serious defect.

These are the most durable and amazing boots. I live in Tahoe where we have tough winters. I have gotten these boots wet, snowy and my feet are warm and dry. I did scotch guard them well and did so the next winter. Pretty much my everyday wear during the winter. They are a tad bit on the heavy size but not enough to deter me from buying the Carmel color this year.

These were beautiful boots but I purchased them because they said they had a 15 1/2 inch calf circumference. 15.5 usually fits me with jeans on as I have muscular calves but I could not even zip them up on my bare leg. They are a nice quality boot so I ordered another pair from the same company with the lace up back that expands to 16.5 inches.
