Fun and Fashionable
Bought these during anniversary sale as a great price point for cute booties to wear in fall. I always size up 1/2 size in boots to allow for thicker socks and found this to be great with these booties. The mouth of the bootie/ankle area is wide so it doesn’t rub on your ankle and will allow for those who like to tuck in jeans or pants. The shoe is padded so while I haven’t worn these a full day I appreciate the soft cushion of the shoe and look forward to wearing them. I attached a picture as I ordered the blue and it’s a lot darker than the photo shown on the website. Still a keeper for me though might be disappointed if you want more of a lighter blue or perhaps different dye lots will cause this to vary. Definitely recommend and considering purchasing in another color.

Serious Construction Issues
I was thrilled to get these - cute and sturdy. Then... I saw them. I've attached a couple pictures of the seams and toe box areas. The suede is lifting from the boot and you can see where it isn't solidly joined to the sole. In addition, the sizing was very odd - big heels, tiny toe box. Simultaneously pinching the toes and sliding out of the heels. Very unflattering in addition to everything else. Return!

Nice styling but short on fit and quality
While the styling is nice, the boot quality is poor and the fit snug/too tight for an 8.5. My attached photo shows a gap between the heel and sole....looks like heel was slapped on with glue, unevenly. Born needs to pay attention to quality control! This boot is defective. For fit, my shoes size is 8.5, nothing odd. But trying on these 8.5 (40 EU) with a light sock, they are too tight, also, the heel lifts up. Sizing up would be too large. I'm sending them back and won't go for Born again.
On the positive side of Nordstrom online, I liked the fast and free shipping via FedEx, and convenient return via UPS.

Disappointed in comfort.
I have two other Born Booties from past Anniversary Sales. This one had only a partial strip protecting my ankle from the zipper so there is a rub from the metal zipper. And for some reason the heel pocket did not hold my heel in nearly as well, so there is rubbing. I think it is wider in the heel and narrower in the ball of the foot from years prior. It is true to size in length, and I would not have been able to downsize. I really wanted to like this one, and do love the appearance, but not the usual fit and comfort I expect from a Born shoe. The color is a dark navy, darker than pictured on my computer.

rust is not rust
Born does make a nice boot. However, I ordered this boot in rust. I was shipped a brown boot - I already have numerous boots of different shades of brown. It looks nothing like the color in the picture. It was just a brown boot; the box even read brown not rust. So, I don't know if it is a manufacturer or Nordstrom error. Also, this boot runs large- at least 1/2 a size large; perhaps 1 size large. Very nice boot though.

Loved the color as navy boots are hard to find. This was my first time trying this brand - I typically take a size 8.5, but these were about 1/2 size too big. Seemed to be too much room in the heel area, so I was not confident that a smaller size would necessarily be comfortable. I returned with regrets!
