YES.....these can take a Chicago Winter!
A co-worker recommended these boots, with the added advice that to order from Nordstrom was the BEST option since their return policy is one of the BEST, if not the BEST. Needless to say, the boots arrived on just in time for record BELOW freezing degrees, then balmy melting degrees (lots of slush), sleet and rain for the next wave, and currently snow with below zero, negative wind chills. And my feet are WONDERFUL!!! Best purchase ever of the year so far!

Half sizes please
3 starts only because the sizing is weird and I wish they offered half sizes. I’m a solid 8.5. The 8 was too big in the foot and around the calf and let water in. The 7 squishes my toes. Super bummed.

Boggs winter boots
These big boots are well made sturdy and warm. I ordered the wide calf which helps them slide on and off fairly easily. I also ordered a larger size so I could layer the socks. I am pleased with this purchase.i rate this product excellent!
