Body Core Sculpt Mid Rise Shorts

try this on in store if you have the chance!!! i bought a size small based on the size chart & my measurements. technically, i usually would get an xs if i wanted to feel really tucked in. i ended up going to nordstrom to try on the shorts to see if i wanted another body suit, while the small was in shipping. there were no sizes other than xs and large to try, so i thought, hey, let me try the xs to see if that would shape me better. i couldn't even get it past my butt! i am by no means "thick" or "voluptuous.. like there's no definition lol. so i was shocked that i could barely get the waist band past my inner thighs. decided against breaking a nail or punching myself in the face trying to get them on so i tried on the large to see how it fit... it fit perfectly. for reference, i measure 38" at the widest part of my hips & 27" at the narrowest part of my waist. by the size chart, a small should fit. i am shocked that the large felt like the perfect fit. there were no mediums to compare how that would've gone, but too say this runs so small is an understatement. i get this has the "strongest" hold out of the entire skims line, but that size chart is deceptive. find a place to try these on and order from there. do not trust the size chart or what you know about your body lol

I purchased the **SKIMS Body Core Sculpt Mid Rise Shorts from Nordstrom in November and was initially very happy with the shaping and smoothing they provided. Unfortunately, the quality did not hold up. By February, after approximately 15 wears, the fabric began shedding and deteriorating vertically along the material. The garment became unwearable and had to be discarded. For care, I always washed it on delicate and never used the dryer, so it was handled according to proper care instructions. Given the price and reputation of the brand, I expected this item to last much longer. The performance as shapewear is good, but the durability is very disappointing. I would hope Nordstrom reviews this quality issue and considers standing behind the product.

I bought this because it states this is 91% cotton. This is not! Made entirely of synthetic materials and resembles a constrictive unbreathable scuba suit. What a waste of time and money! Please make better efforts to be accurate in descriptions! Some of us have allergies to synthetics and must have natural materials.
