Pot Rouge Cream Blush for Lips & Cheeks

I experience a soft feeling of color, when applying to my cheeks. My cheeks color seems natural, color does not "shout " out, on the face of an 81 year old. My face skin is softened and not heavy looking. I truly believe it takes a few years off my age. I want to look as "spry" as I still am. Bobbie Brown Cosmetics and Skin Creams help me achieve my goal.

I am 62, fair skin (I use Bobbi Brown Warm Ivory Stick Foundation) and wanted a cream bronzer. I'm so tired of gel and powder bronzers because they look too dry and emphasize my dry or wrinkled areas. I know the Pot Rouges are for lips and cheeks, but I bought the Uber Beige to use as a bronzer. It is absolutely the most beautiful bronzer I've ever used (you name a brand and I've used it). I apply the Uber Beige in the same places I would normally apply my former bronzers. The consistency is lovely, it blends so well and really just makes me glow and makes my skin look healthier - and more youthful since my lines are not as visible. There is no glittery effect either - just looks naturally like me only with a nice little bit of sun. It looks beautiful on the lips and eyes as well. I have several BB pot rouges, and love them all. But I was ecstatic to find that the Uber Beige has use as an incredible bronzer as well. FYI - The actual color is a light golden beigey-peachy-brown. But on my computer screen, the color looked more like a pink brown.

The most natural blush I have ever used. As a senior citizen, I am always concerned about looking like a "clown" when I put on my blush. I have used many brands over the years, including Chanel and NARS. Usually I wipe some off after application to be sure I have not applied too much. This cream blush is so blendable and natural looking I have no worries about that. I apply a light dusting of the rose shimmer brick over it and I look very natural with a slight glow. I use this one in powder pink. I have medium to light skin tone and hazel eyes with brown hair.

I have two issues with this product. One, it is impossible to choose the correct color on-line from the way the product is photographed. You need to work with your visuals team to show the product as a "smear" going from a heavy application, trailing off to a very thin application. In my frequent experience, this is the best way to figure out how the color will really work. Unfortunately, this on-line presentation simply photographed the product in a flat way, with the lid open. Due to this, I chose the wrong color. The second issue is that it is advertised as being for either cheeks OR lips. It turns out that it is a perfect application for cheeks (IF you can get the right color), BUT it is way too thin for lips. It doesn't color the lips as in a lipstick or a stain. Just wipes on briefly before wearing off too soon.

First off, I'd like to apologize to all of those die hard fans of this product for not loving it. I feel like there must be something wrong with me... Positives - Fresh Melon is a fun, summery coral. There is no shimmer, which is becoming increasingly hard to find these days. Enough with the shimmer already! Unfortunately, this applied sticky, and stayed sticky. Maybe because I feel like I have to apply a decent amount to get any real color. It's very sheer. And within a few hours I can hardly see it at all. I should have caught on when the lady at the counter told me that layering a powder blusher on top would really make it last. Why would I want to apply 2 blushers every day, when I could just apply one good one?
