Wonderful for drier skin
I have been using this product for a few years. It easily takes off makeup at the end of the day and leaves skin very smooth and hydrated. Plus the smell is delicious! After I massage it into skin, I add some water to my face and it creates a wonderful emulsion while continuing to massage.

Gooey mess!
Reviews of this were good but I cannot imagine why. It is a sticky, gooey gross yellow mess. I found the texture and smell unbearable. It was like spreading honey in your face, with the smell of Pledge. Didn’t really remove my foundation and doesn’t rinse clean. The container is enormous and heavy...it won’t fit in a medicine cabinet.
If you like cleansing balms there are many options a thousand times better - Clinique. Estee, Dermalogica, even Ponds balm. But steer clear of this.

Hmmm, Interesting to read the reviews above because that was not my experience. I didn't find the cleanser moisturizing. I have somewhat dry skin and I thought it made my skin feel drier. I also think the balm is frankly, kind of a mess to use, just because it is thick going on, then you wait for it to 'melt' (the salesgirls word) into your skin, then supposedly rinse off. Just a hassle to me compared to say, DDF cleansers or nearly any other cleansers that I have used. I prefer something in a pump or squeeze type container (rather than this big, cumbersome jar) so that the product is not constantly dipped into, even with a spatula, etc.. I will be returning this product.

Outstanding Cleanser!
I purchased this cleanser along with several other Bobbi Brown products in the last two months.
This product is for dry skin. Mine is dry but even more so in the winter months.
It takes a small amount of this rich, thick product and it feels luxurious going on.
I thought I would have to rinse several times to get the product off and that I would still feel a film on my skin, due to the consistency of this product; definitely not the case! I found my skin feels clean yet hydrated.
This product does not clog my pores.
This will last me at least 6 months since such a small amount is needed to do the job.
I highly recommend this product.
I follow with her hydrated face tonic, a dropper of intensive skin supplement. I use her hydrating face cream and hydrating intense night cream.I also use her tinted moisturizing balm w/spf 25. Love them all!

Pleasantly Surprised
I was not aware Bobbi Brown had so many creams and cleansers for dry mature skin until I was introduced to them earlier this year when I signed up for a beauty event. The sales person was very educated about the ingredients in their products and what they would do. She gave me a sample of the extra balm rinse and after a couple of uses, I was convinced that this was the best, most nourishing cleanser I had ever used. It made my skin feel moisturized and the wrinkles much less noticeable. I have purchased the large size as I a using it morning and night with great results. Thanks Bobbi Brown and Nordstrom for providing such excellent skincare for older women.

This product changed my face
About a year ago, I revamped my skin care. I added this product and the BB eye balm, and literally within a month, my face changed from dry, crunchy, crepey to smooth supple and radiant, aspecially around my eyes. Amazing cleanser for dry skin/dry climates- if you use this at night, all you ahve to do in the morning is rinse off your face and you are good to go. I love it!

Like nothing else out there
This is a must have product if you want your skin soft and glowing. I have combination skin and I was not sure this would work on me, so I had the salesperson at the BB counter make me a sample. After one use, my skin looked and felt like I had a professional facial. I now mix it with Bobbi's buffing beads for an incredible exfoliator. I have always looked young for my age( I am 41), but I was mistaken for my 17 year old daughter's sister twice last month while wearing no makeup AND in full sunlight. Any Mom of a teenage girl knows that's a huge compliment. Granted, I use other anti-aging products, but the Balm Rinse restores the texture of my skin to a younger look and feel. Worth the hefty price, only a tiny bit needed for each use.
