Crushed Lip Color Moisturizing Lipstick

I have so many lipsticks that I couldn't imagine that something new would make a difference. But this formula is a game changer. I have very fair skin, hazel eyes and dark hair, so I lean toward deep colors for contrast. But for day I don't always want a full on oxblood or deep red with black/brown undertones. Nudes wash me out. But I've been trying to figure out how to get that flushed, just kissed look lately, without using additional liner, gloss, etc. And real mattes are aging on me. I bought this in both Telluride and Blackberry and just love the finish. It's a comfortable lipstick, and has that lipstick feel. But it has a certain look of softness, even in those deeper colors, that is just what I've been longing for. It doesn't feel like a stain, and I'm guessing has no more staying power than other BB lipsticks. But I think I'm really going to love these. They just look like I was born this way.

I bought the color Telluride and I have fair- neutral skin with blue eyes and dark blond hair. This is a wonderful product! It’s light, buildable and looks beautiful. I have already ordered the color Babe as well. If you’re fair skinned but want to wear deeper lip shades, I recommend this lippie because it goes on sheer and you can build it up as desired so the color never looks too harsh. Love it!

I bought the Babe color as it has received a lot of raves in reviews. The color is great, I would call it a somewhat brownish wood rose. Great for autumn and winter. I wouldn't necessarily crave it for spring or summer as it's a little "muddy" in tone. Now for the formula ... not a huge fan. I was expecting a hydrating, balm like, somewhat translucent color. Similar to the tinted lip balms from BB - but maybe a bit heavier. This is more of a lipstick finish and I would not call it particularly hydrating. My lips felt quite dry when worn. I would also say it is not at all translucent. This is a solid color and has almost a matte finish. I also found the smell of the product to be a bit heavy and almost waxy. The bullet is lovely though ... it has a definite heft to it and the lid has a nice secure click to it.

Moisturizing, comfortable, easy to apply without a mirror. Less color migration than, say, Burt's Bees, but still not a long last product. The "bare" shade is a great beige nude. My critique is that it's kind of ridiculous to pay $29 for a tinted lip balm. I'll only buy this moving forward if there is a sale or promo.

I love this lipstick! It really does apply to look like a stain. I have tried four colours now, and haven’t found one I don’t like because they wear like a stain instead of a bold, heavy matte. Cranberry is my current favourite because it is not too dark and looks like I put on a berry colour a couple of hours ago and it has worn perfectly. Ruby is much darker than Cranberry. Cabana will be the perfect coral for summer.

Do not believe the depictions of these colors on the models or the swatches. I purchased the warm cocoa and the deep chocolate based on how they looked on the fairest model. I have very fair skin and red hair and love warm colors. I love the BB lip pencil cocoa and would normally have purchased the cocoa lipstick, but it appeared so sheer on the model that I went for the darker shades. Big mistake. These, unlike the eyeshadow palettes that were released with them, are very pigmented , at least the dark shades that I purchased were. The texture is that of a non greasy balm but the pigment is much more than a balm, and does not match at all the depictions on the models on the BB website that were copied here. I have to return the colors I purchased and possibly try the Cocoa and /or the Buff. Such a difference between these lipsticks and the Real Nude eyeshadow palettes! They had almost no pigmentation and use without a primer was not worth it. Whole purchase has to go back. I really appreciate Nordstrom's return policy during this time of no trying on makeup in stores. These items would have gone untried if I were bound to them. I hope the reviews help other shoppers. Go with your gut on your shade of this lipstick, not the model depictions. Skip the eyeshadow palettes in the Real Nudes collection. Nothing special and very little pigmentation. In conclusion, these are good balm type lipsticks with intense pigmentation that is not properly depicted on the models, If you find a shade that matches your skintome and preference, it is fragrance free and long lasting. Just beware of the misleading depictions of shades on the models on this website and Bobbi Brown's.
