What it is: A unique oil-controlling pressed powder that sets foundation and finishes the face while adding minimal colour and texture with a very sheer finish.

Breakable!
I have used this powder daily for at least 20 +years and I always have one in my purse. It has been the easiest way to take the shine off my oily skin throughout the day. I am not sure if MAC haS changed the formula, but the last two compacts have cracked and then shattered when taking off the plastic overlay. They were both almost new with no wear in the middle. I keep the plastic on it for protection and have never had this problem in the past. I hope MAC fixes this issue. This is my go to product!

Great powder for keeping t-zone free of shine
I bought this Blot Powder yesterday in-store, looking for something that I could wear over my makeup to keep my t-zone from getting oily by the late morning/early afternoon. This morning I brushed a small amount over my forehead, under my eyes, and on my chin and eight hours later, my skin still looked great. There was some natural, minimal shine, but SO much less than what I was accustomed to. I can't believe I'm writing a review after only having worn it once, but I'm just really impressed with the product.
For reference, I wore it on top of the products below (in the order I applied them):
- Kiehl's Ultra Facial Oil-Free Lotion (another fantastic product for keeping combination to oily skin under control!)
- NARS Tinted Moisturizer in Alaska
- MAC Mineralize concealer in NC 15
The Medium shade matched my NC 15 skin well (in the container it looked too pale, but worked great once on my skin).
I highly recommend this as an alternative to clear finishing pressed powder, as this is essentially the same product, only in a shade complimentary to your own complexion.

great for oily t-zone
Works better than anything I currently own for oil control in my t-zone. I have combo skin and this blotting powder works great in setting my tinted moisturizer since I don't wear foundation. I got 'med-dark' which works great for my light-med skin tone. Don't let the color name throw you off. Order a shade or two darker than you normally get. The puff applicator that comes w/ the compact is not that great of quality and so I just use my own brush.

This was my first online purchase from Nordstrom and I have to say I will never order this product from any other company. From the ease of purchase, competitive pricing, free shipping, online delivery updates, to the product arriving before I expected it, the entire experience was positive.
The product is better than any other compact powder I have ever used. Nordstrom even sent several wonderful fragrance and facial product samples. I encourage anyone wanting to order MAC products to order from Nordstrom. A+

best blot powder ever!
I’ve tried them all and most add an extra layer of makeup yet no coverage. This powder looks invisible in terms of thickness and not settling in any lines or pores, but removes any t zone grease or just of my sunscreen is too shiny. It’s fabulous.
Please read this color advice, as I did from others and it was right in. It runs unbelievably light! My skin tone is light (Estee double wear in 2c3) and I wear the medium-dark and it’s perfect.
