Dakota Waterproof Bootie (Women)

I bought these booties on same day I left for travel to Europe. I purchased then in 6.5 so I can wear them with socks. My normal size is 6. I did try them in store and I felt confident that they will work perfectly for a weather I expected. They marked as waterproof. They are. I was walking under rain and sometimes under heavy rain and my feet were absolutely dry. Also all these rain and dirt did not ruined a suede on the shoes. I just wiped some dirt after they dry out overnight and they were just like new. Booties have padded insole and they are so soft that I was able to walk 10+ miles in them doing sightseeing. But, there are 2 major issues I found during my trip. Issue #1 - Booties beeped when I passed security in airport so I had to take them off so security will check them separately. I am not sure if the metal on a buckle or there is a metal part build into shoes. Issue #2 - buckle is nice to have and it is part of design. I don't have thick ankles but before leaving on trip I adjusted buckle to expand width of the shoe around the ankle just to feel more comfortable. It did not help a lot. With each step the buckle pressed on my ankle bone. I wish the buckle was set a little higher or was a little smaller in size. Anyway, I still give them 5 stars.
