Fragrance story: The dramatic Black Orchid Eau De Parfum opens with aphrodisiac black truffle and narcotic ylang-ylang touched with effervescent bergamot and bitter orange. Rum-soaked sweet black plum surrounds the black-orchid extract in golden sensuality, while woody patchouli and creamy vanilla wrap the orchid in rich warmth. The bottle represents a streamlined, modern interpretation of 1920s and 1930s architecture.

Delights the Senses!
I am in my late fifties and love to try different perfumes. I absolutely love this one! I wear it daily and it goes a long way in terms of staying power. I honestly have never had so many strangers tell me how great I smell! I have people asking me all of the time what fragrance I am wearing. I have continued to experiment and purchase a variety of other ones and always come back to this one, which is now my signature perfume. The only thing I caution about are two things- -I think it is so odd that Tom Ford created two different perfumes with the same name, yet are not at all similar. Make sure if you purchase this one that it is the black bottle and not the white bottle! I really miss his body oil spray in this fragrance. It was heavenly and I am sad he discontinued it. One more word of caution- I made the mistake of ordering this on e-Bay for considerably less money and it was not even close to the real thing! Goes to show you get what you pay for and I want the real deal! I only order it now through Nordstrom Love, love, love this perfume!

Basic
After reading all these positive reviews and being a Tom Ford fan I had to try this, thankfully I was given a good sized sample to take home. I put it on and it smelled a cross between a dated 80's perfume and drug store cologne. I then asked my husband and kids what they thought and they didnt like it at all. I decided to try it again on a different day and went out with some friends who would not be biased. Finally one asked what I was wearing and I thought they liked the scent, but then they said it wasn't very nice and probably best I don't wear it again. It might be my chemistry but this scent is not for everyone.

Absolute Perfection
I never review products, but I have to tell everyone how wonderful this perfume is. It's a heavy, seductive scent, but it's never overbearing. The other day in the elevator ride up to my boyfriends apartment the three women in the elevator all asked me what I was wearing. Men and women both love it and I've noticed it even lingers on pillows and sheets if I wear it to bed.
I have to disagree with the reviewer that said this scent was for older women, I'm in my early twenties and have only heard good things about this perfume on me.

Absolutely Sexy, Sexy, SEXY!
"LBD" Little Black Dress well this LBB Little Black Bottle is pure sexiness in a bottle, with a touch of luxe-boho-chic, I have to force myself not to wear this scent everyday, I feel it would a crime to do so, a little is all you need to spray, as the fragrance lasts, and lasts, and the art deco styled bottle is the cherry on top; Sleek black, and accented with gold, Thank You Tom Ford. By the way did I say that I love this perfume?

A Smells Oh So Good Fragrance
Black Orchid does a superb job of combining notes to work in harmony. If you are a bit concerned about the fragrance being to woody or strong (particularly given the incense note), don't worry, is not! The multiple floral and citrus notes blend fabulously well with the more intense woody notes to create a fragrance that becomes yours from application through dry down. Long lasting but not overtly powerful. Sensual, makes a bad day into a good day. Try it!

Worth It
I bought this cologne for my husband. It was his Father's Day gift. He had been not-so-subtly hinting about it for some time, and he was shocked when he saw it in his gift bag. We're pretty discriminating about fragrances. From a mile away, we can sniff out (pardon the pun) an over-priced, mediocre-quality, money-maker with a notable name gratuitously slapped on the packaging. Black Orchid is not among them. This fragrance is perfect for any man's body chemistry: woodsy masculinity and seasoned sexiness. Speaking of seasons, it's exactly right for all four of them. My husband wears it right now with shorts and golf shirts, and he'll be wearing later this year with cords and sweaters.
I gave Black Orchid to my husband as a gift, but I am really the recipient. I get to smell that intoxicating scent on him all day long.

Tom Ford Black Orchid
This is one of my must have perfumes. It is very distinct and stands out in the crowd. Not your run of the mill floral. It is dark, spicy and very sensual. I LOVE IT!
