Would love these in leather!
I love the style, but they are going back. Because my issue is with the description and not the item, I will not deduct any stars. Perhaps I read the description wrong, but the upper is certainly not leather, as stated. If by upper, they are referring to the straps, it is wrong. They are Birko-Flor, a matte synthetic material.

So cute but...
Wanted these badly. However had to return because that cute center cross strap is not adjustable. There is way too much length in the strap leaving a loose gap over the top of the foot.

I like the sandal but not crazy about the birko. It's definitely not a leather upper as the description states.

Not leather upper
Very disappointed. These sandals are NOT leather uppers. I bought this brand because I assumed that Birkenstock was the best that there is - quality wise. Synthetic straps for this price point seems unreasonable.
Very disappointed. Returning sandals to purchase leather ones!

Perfect Fit -- Finally!
Salina is the only sandal from Birkenstock that fits my foot properly. Most other Birks are too narrow in the heel cup (Mayari, Granada, Yao) or too wide overall (Arizona). I've had a pair of Salinas in black for a couple years now, and was trying to find a different style for this summer. I swear, I've tried on every other model; this is the only one that fits my foot!
For reference, I wear between a 7 and 7.5 and have a slightly wider than average foot across the bridge (widest part of your foot), but not in the heel, which is why finding a good fit has been frustrating as the heel cup shouldn't feel so narrow. I ordered a 38 Wide, and they fit perfectly. The silver is really nice--not shiny or overly metallic, but more of a muted silver, almost light grey color.
For anyone who has had trouble finding Birks that fit, I recommend trying them all on in different widths (thanks, Nordstrom for a great return policy!) There will be one style that fits your foot--it might just take a while to find them! Salina is it for me, so I hope they come out with additional colors.

Love the blue and style of these shoes. Unfortunately I order the wide and they were huge on me. Not only in width but also length. I have a short fat foot and I wanted these to work. I wear a 6.5 and ordered the 6-6.5 but they fit like an 8 on me. I had to return but gave them a 5 because if you wear a wide you will love these.
