Mayari Slide Sandal

I have been on the hunt in purchasing two Birkenstock sandals. A light color and a dark color. I have ordered and tried on many styles, including Arizona, Florida, Sienna, Madrid and Gizeh...along with the Mayari. All were purchased in genuine leather variations and hands down the Mayari in tobacco oiled leather was the best option for my “light” color. It is even more beautiful in person and will match any outfit. The sandal itself was the most comfortable from all that I had tried on. I personally found it even more comfortable than the Arizona (not to mention stylish). There’s always a break-in period with new shoes and I would highly recommend anyone interested in this style to try it, especially in genuine leather. I will say I tried this shoe on in the store in the vegan leather options (why the store carried no leather options is beyond me) and I didn’t like the look and feel of the upper at all in those. Glad I took the chance to see it in genuine leather. Can’t explain how comfortable I find it and the toe loop isn’t bothersome at all. Posted lots of pics for reference and so you can really get a clear idea of what the color is in person. Oh, and regarding sizing, I’m a size 7-7.5 and in Birkenstock I am always a 6-6.5 (37). No different here, even though the footbed is the wider size and not narrow.
