'London' Slip-On (Men)

Based on the instructions and measuring techniques, it was suggested that I get a men’s size 10 1/2 even though I wear a woman’s 12. The shoes were tight, in length as well, as lwidth . Not quite sure the reasoning behind the price other than it being a thin leather, and the orthotic feel of the foot bed. I suppose it will give if you gave it some time, but I would recommend getting your normal size. These were incredibly tight for me at this size.

I bought these shoes for my son who works in a kitchen. He cooks and is on his feet 12 - 14 hours each day, 6 days a week. This is the first time he has used these shoe for work. He is extremely happy with these shoes. They are not only comfortable, but so light. Most works shoes are heavy so thi was an added bonus to these shoes.

I have plantar fascitius and Birkenstocks were recommended to me. Thus far, the shoe fits reasonably well although I wish there was a bit more room in the toe box. I wear size 13 and my pair is a size 46 and it appears they do not come in size 47. I hope the leather tops stretch as I break them in. The arch support, my reason for buying them, is great.

Okay so I knew from reading a few reviews that the Londons can be narrow. It was at first. My right foot is slightly wider than my left and I struggled with putting it on with socks. I refused to let it defeat me and forced it on anyway, despite the initial discomfort. Glad I did, because as I walked in them the entire day (yes, the first time I wore them), it loosened up. I’ve worn them most days of the week for the past several weeks and I hardly have much complaint other than my socks would get bunched up going in, now and then. I like the look and feel of it. It would be amazing if Birkenstock have these in a soft bed, because I’d wear it every day.
