Essentials - Gizeh Flip Flop (Women)

I have these from last year and love the gold. I just bought the pink. So cute. I was walking around my bedroom and my foot started itching. I looked at my foot and realized the sunken in logo was now transferred to my foot! See photo. Make sure you get a pair with the printed logo. Did anyone at Birkenstock test these. Took me about ten minutes to realize this is an issue!

I never leave reviews but felt compelled to for these because they're so uncomfortable. I have Gizeh shoe in other materials and they're my favorite. I can wear them for hours with no problem. However, this plastic material doesn't have any give to it and the piece that goes over your toe rubs mercilessly gave me the worst blisters. As adorable as these are they had to go back to the store.

Cute flip-flop, but the slick plastic creates a vacuum with your feet and makes the goofiest squeaking sound when you walk! There’s lots of pollen in my neighborhood, and apparently when I walked through grass, the pollen permanently stained the shoes. Of course, I can still wear them, but beware… couldn’t get the pollen stains out because the plastic so readily accepted a color. Still a cute shoe but beware!

I chuckled at a previous review that mentioned that when she walked, the shoe "farted". I thought it may have been an abberation and purchased anyway. Unfortunately, she was right. I love Birkenstocks, have many pairs, different styles. Not certain that the price of shoe is worth the headache of finding parking at the mall so may donate them forward.
