These are great for rainy days or working in the yard. Get them muddy and just rinse them off under a faucet. They offer almost as much arch support as a cork footbed Birk. They are most comfortable with thicker than average socks for extra cushion. A size 43 is roomy for my size 10 feet without socks and a nice snug fit with thick socks. So far, the outer sole and heel appear to be durable, looking almost new after a couple months of almost daily wear. The black version looks nice enough with dark jeans to wear at places where sandals might be too casual.
