Shawl Collar Pullover

This is a light- to mid-weight sweatshirt material with diamond stitch quilting, not really a sweater as some have described it. I bought mine in 2017 in a dark taupe/brown. It does fit slim like most Billy Reid knitwear, so I went up one size. While you can layer it over a collared shirt, you will not see much of the collar due to the high button stance. Also, while the elbow patches are made from a nice suede, they kind of hinder pushing up your sleeves like on a regular sweatshirt. My main issue is the fabric. After about 6 weeks, the polyester fibers started to pill. I can tell they are the polyester fibers, as they look white instead of the brown of the fabric and they don't feel like cotton. It's disappointing for an almost $200 sweatshirt. Hopefully later versions have improved upon this. I own about 7-8 Billy Reid shirts and another type of sweater from him and all of those are great quality. I also bought this at one of his boutiques while on vacation.
