Quilted Jacket

I was looking for a light to medium weight jacket with clean lines and a classic rather than sporty look. I was disappointed after several failed attempts with online ordering. Until, I found this jacket. It is well made, very comfortable without being oversized and a nice matte black fabric. I wear a medium in most jackets but ordered a small in this one since it is a boxy style. The length in the back is 22.75” that is great for my 5’1” frame.

Ordered this online. When it arrived, I was happy with the fit—it’s a flattering cut if you’re looking for boxy on top and slightly cropped (as a pear shape I prefer jackets not be tight on my heinie) However, it seems low quality. There are already small rips on both the interior pocket linings and fuzz is coming out—while this location isn’t load bearing it’s a bad sign to come. There’s also a place on the sleeve where stitching is starting to pull apart and I can see white fuzz. Also, the material seems too soft and matte to be able to handle any sort of wetness (I know it’s not advertised as water repellent but expected it to be more of a sleek finish). Overall cute but not the quality I was hoping for!

I purchased the Bernardo quilted jacket in the ash color which is a light taupe. The jacket fits me perfectly. I purchased in size small; the sleeves are a little long on me but I just roll them once. I plan to use this jacket when traveling abroad. It has deep pockets inside the jacket so can carry my passport and ID in them. I am short waisted so the jacket comes down just. past my hips. There is room to wear a heavier sweater underneath if needed.
