Hooded Puffer Jacket

I’m so glad I bought this coat. I was afraid that it might be too long, too tight or boxy. It’s none of those. The fit is form fitting without being too tight. I got the medium I’m 5’4” about 150lbs. The fabric is a nice soft stretchy matte black material. The fact that it packs into itself is pretty cool.

Jacket itself was great! Size small, TTS and would have kept me warm in Europe. Would have been perfect if it wasn’t previously worn by someone else who left medicine and body spray in both pockets. Jacket smelled horrible as well. I was disappointed b/c I received it the day before I left for my trip, so I couldn’t exchange.

I am so sad about this coat, it has all the things that I was looking for - bibbed, two way zippers, hood removable w bib - but those wide non quilted fabric panels that begin at the pocket along the length of the coat emphasize any wrinkles or bulges in the clothes beneath. It stands out spoiling the anppearance and sadly that ruined the coat for me.

I was shocked how much I used the backpack straps while touring in the cold. After walking around D.C., I warmed up quite a bit and was able to wear the coat as a backpack until I needed the coat again. I also was able to wear it thru the museum as a backpack too. When I was on the metro, the air conditioning was blowing on my head and the hood was perfect to keep me warm. When I boarded my flight, the airline attendant thought my coat was a backpack and wanted me to consolidate it until I showed her it was my coat. She was impressed. It’s very light yet very warm. I used it as a blanket on the flight and stored it in the attached duffle bag when not needed. Love this coat!

I purchased a large in this coat for a future winter trip but decided the side panels (made of the stretchy fabric) might cut down on warmth. The jacket arms were quite long but I usually need a longer arm length. I am returning it because the two-way zipper seemed a bit difficult to use but overall seems like a good jacket for someone. I am 5'8" and wear a 12 or 14.
