Faux Fur Coat

On a whim, I just ordered this coat in a medium (I wear blouses size 8; most sweaters medium.) It arrived. I touched it. I fell in love. Whoa, that never happened with a coat before! Yes, it was somewhat big on me and for a minute I thought of trying to order the small, but then I looked in the mirror. It looked FABULOUS! I like that it's a bit roomy, just as it seems on the model. That was the moment I knew I was never going to get rid of this coat and I cut off the tags. Two days later, I wore it to an evening party. The hosts opened the door and--well, the coat was the hit of the party. Every single woman there asked to try it on. And had to be pried loose from it again. The softness, the warmth, the feeling of luxury! Nobody wanted to take it off again. I just love this coat!

This stylish, cozy coat is a Definite BUY!! A Black Friday impulse purchase since it looked like an amazing deal even if higher priced - I didn't really expect it to arrive being as good as it is but knew I could return it if needed. I was pleasantly pleased to get this beautiful coat for less than the cost of a blazer! The fur is silky smooth without that cheap fake fur look. Perfect to wear with everything from jeans to a dressy event. The look is stylish yet timeless - doesn't look like a dated fur style (or "grandma's old fur"). Suitable for virtually any age range. The weight is light, so I wouldn't expect it to be super warm on the coldest days, but that's an advantage when you want a great winter look without the weight. I'm a size 8, usually wear 10 in coats to allow for jackets such as thick wool blazers underneath. If I was only wearing this coat over a dress or turtleneck and jeans, a small would probably have been a good look. But then I'd be limited in not being able to wear layers underneath or blazers with outfits. The true test is what I call the "driving test" - put your arms up as if you'd be driving and if it feels too snug where arms are attached then go a size up. This coat felt just right, so a medium is good if you are a size 8 to 10. (I'm 145 lbs., 5'5, size 30 jeans, medium for pullover sweaters, Misses 8 to 10 dresses).
