Excellent substantial hood
Last year I bought Bernardo's tie-dye packable puffer, and that was an outstanding, warm, windproof, waterproof coat, even in Seattle rain - except that the hood was a piece of tissue-thin nylon that rolled up and stored in the collar. A totally useless addition to an otherwise excellent coat. So when I saw this one with the substantial hood, I snapped it up. This is puffy and comfy, although since it's in the 60s here, I haven't worn it yet. But I'm optimistic that this will be a great coat for winter.

Very roomy - I wished I had sized down
I usually buy size medium for this brand to have a little extra room but this was a mistake for this specific item. It reminds me of an old maternity winter coat that I had 7 years ago and I look very large due to the size and the puffy nature of the coat. The chevron detail is nice and the crimson color is lovely. I'll keep it but likely will only wear it in my yard. Given how large this looks, I'm not sure I would be very comfortable wearing it out and about. For reference, I purchased another style of Bernardo coat in size medium at the same time and the other coat fits quite well. This one is very roomy. It would have been awesome during one of my pregnancies.

So soft and roomy
I really love this coat. It’s soft, roomy, and water resistant! To me, it was important to find a winter coat that was warm but also cruelty free!!! I refuse to buy down products and love the fact this coat is made from recycled materials. I gave it just 4 stars bc I’m not sure if it will withstand a snow day yet but it def kept me warm during our recent 30-40 NE mornings. Will purchase more from this brand.

Stylish and functional
I needed a new Puffer Coat and when I saw the one in Garnet I knew I found what I was looking for. The things I love about the coat are the color, the lightness, I initially thought I got an empty box, the hood that really keeps my head warm while walking the dog and its big enough to fit my long hair, and the overall style and fit. What I found lacking was that right in the shoulder area the Puffer did not seem as thick and I could feel the cold through that area. With my old coat I could take the dog for a quick walk with just a tank top underneath and still be cosy warm, I just did not get that with this coat. Since we don't live in an area that really gets super cold I was willing to overlook it, but that is the reason the coat did not get 5 stars.

I was so surprised how comfortably warm I felt on my new jacket. The technology using recycled materials is brilliant

No brainer for a casual coat.
Great coat, especially for the price. Rich colors, great cut, and angles.
