Belted Travel Packable Hooded Rain Jacket

I wore this one day when it was drizzly and found myself having to walk about a half mile on a university campus. Then it started really raining. When I arrived at my destination the rain was soaked through the jacket and my skin was damp. This is definitely for light drizzles and sprinkles and not real rain. I will say it’s a great outer layer for trips where you want to cut the wind and have it still be compact and packable, and still look classy too. So I’m not unhappy with the purchase, but just know that it’s maybe not as water resistant as you’d like.

I like the look and packability, but as mentioned in another review, it fits snug. I would not have been able to wear a sweater or anything with heavier fabric. The jacket fabric is nylon, so it is more of a lightweight layer with no lining. I have doubts about how it would hold up on a rainy day.

Perfect top layer for a summer trip to Scotland and Ireland. Kept me dry in rain showers, light weight enough to carry in a tote bag and great length as a long wind breaker. The zip front worked well and the adjustable hood stayed on even in a breeze. Layered with a fleece for cooler weather.

I tried three different rain trench coats from the anniversary sale around the same price point, and this coat was the best by far! The others didn't offer metal hardware, a hood, a bag cover, or nice belt covers around the waist. The material felt more water resistant on this one as well. In addition, this one looks nicer and is more flattering. I did not personally find this coat to be tight fitting and ordered my normal size.
