Recieved an Ugly Denim Dress from GAP
I have no idea how the dress fits; I ordered a size up as suggested. Unfortunately on the day of my scheduled delivery (I paid extra for overnight), Nordstrom shipped me a hideous denim dress from the GAP!!! First time buying from Nordstrom online in years. I can honestly say nothing has changed - Nordstrom did not disappoint.

I'm usually a 2 or 4 in dresses. After reading reviews saying to size down, I purchased the size 4. It was a tad too tight in my chest (32DD) and uncomfortable, so I returned and ordered the 6. I am 5'1" and the dress comes right above my ankles, so getting it hemmed.

I was very excited for this dress after reading the reviews I decided to size up, I’m usually size 2-4 ordered a size 6 and it was very tight around my chest area and rib cage. The quality is really good and I loved the color but it runs small unfortunately I’m returning it.

Runs Small in bust and waist
I’m a US 28/29 (6/8) bottom and 36D bust. I tried this in a US size 10 and it was pretty snug in the waist and unfortunately the top of the dress was ill-fitting. The cups are sewn flat (not rounded like an actual breast) so it gave me a strange squished boob effect. So I tried an 12 and it fit exactly the same in the top, though the waist was loose. The thing that is ate age about this brand, when they create a design with molded cups & bustier darts..even in the larger sizes, the cup size do not actually increase at all. This dress sadly will not work if you have a full c/d cup, and recommend sizing 1-2 sizes up for the waist proportions.

Flattering dress for taller ladies
I'd recommend sizing up in this dress if you have a larger chest. I could zip the size 6 but it was very tight on my chest (C cup) and rib cage and I never need a size 8. I usually can do a 4 or 6 in dresses. The cut is very flattering though, but I did find the length a tad long on me since I am fairly short. Overall, I like this dress but was unsure it was the right fit for my body. I could see this being very flattering on someone who is taller though.
