Bed Stu
Founded in L.A. in 1995 but inspired by the Brooklyn streets, Bed Stu handcrafts shoes and boots for women and men. The brand uses traditional shoemaking techniques like hand-weaving and hand-sewing, as well as natural leathers (from free-range animals when possible) and a vegetable-based tanning process, so each shoe is unique and imperfect but always genuine.

cool boots
Just got these and they are surprisingly comfortable. Love the tan color. These are not namby-pamby pretend-dress boots—they look pretty serious. The slightly off-center cap toe keeps them from looking too industrial, but the finish and the leather give them a don't-mess-with-me, almost handmade look. Might be hard to hook up with anything except jeans and maybe cords, but for the price these are worth it and very useful.

horrible boots - AVOID THIS BRAND
parts of the rubber sole broke off in the first day, only on carpet inside. 1 year in all stitching has come off, cracks in the leather (despite proper conditioning, and a massive tear in the leather where the tongue joins. AVOID THIS BRAND

5 stars if no zipper!!
Im a director of ops and bus dev for a blue collar company, did labor through college (it pays better) and have a large boot collection, and still have to wear steel bottom steel toed boots for work, i love boots, these are not real boots, but they pull off the look I want.....perfectly. They take about 2 days to break in to your step. I tie and untie because I have never had boots with a zipper and quite honestly don't see how that is trustworthy, just skip it unless your that lazy. If these boots hold up this winter in Pittsburgh as well as my others that are still going strong I'll be scrambling for another pair. Do beware...these are the second pair that I have ordered. I tried to order from another store and they were terrible looking, I figured Nordstrom wouldn't do me wrong!!! g'day.

Cool boot but hard to match
I really like this boot. It was comfortable and well made with a masculine leather smell.
But, given the mix of styles (and they appeared "big" on my feet) this boot, I could find maybe 1 pair of pants in my wardrobe that looked ok with them
This is one of those "Looks better on the mannequin" boots. They might look hot with some camo pants but considering I have none, I can't wrap my entire wardrobe to one shoe.

Great high quality shoe
Great looking shoe. Comfortable and well made. Love the zipper in the back. No need to un-tie. I found they ran too big. About 1/2 to1 size too big. Every time I wear them get compliments.

Nice boots! Fit is
Nice boots! Fit is correct for the size. Stiff sole, so they are a little clunky when walking but not uncomfortable. ""Unique"" distress to the leather does not exactly match example photos but looks good. Would give 5 stars but left boot zipper has less friction than right boot and can unzip itself when walking if the boot is laced tightly. Somewhat annoying that this unzips but loosening the upper laces a little seems to have fixed this.
