Beaded Chiffon Gown

I loved everything about this dress, but unfortunately I had to return it because it had a strong and unpleasant odor. Not sure if it's the plastic sequins or the knit material, but it had a strange smell that wouldn't go away even when I aired it outside for a day. I did an online search of this gown and found several reviews on another site from customers also complaining about the odd odor. Don't know if this is just one of a bad batch; I might order it again and see because it's so flattering. I love the neckline, the flowy sparkly skirt, and the sheer sleeves that hide my old lady elbows. It's not too heavy, like some beaded dresses. And it fit perfectly. Note: I sized down, based on Nordy's recommendation, and I'm glad I did. FYI, I'm usually a 4 in "fit and flare" or A-line dresses but ordered a 2; I'm 5'6'' and 125 pounds, 34-inch bust and 27-inch waist. Also, not sure why they describe this dress as "lilac." Must be an error. It's the blush color you see in the photo, but does look a shade darker than shown on the monitor as is often the case with online clothing. If you order this dress, I hope you get one that's not defective. Nordstrom should make sure they all pass the sniff test!

Looking for MOG dress and this dress was stylish and comfortable. Liked that sleeves were longer not capped and waist area was not tight Returned dress because color was not Lilac, closer to mannequin brown, and beads were following off because threads were not knotted correctly. Many other reviews stated these concerns as well - should have listened!

Gorgeous gown. It fits like a glove—perfectly. My only complaint is that it does not match the color of the photo on the website. The color said “lilac” so I thought it might be lavender which would be fine; though the color of the pictures looked like a creamy beige that I would have loved. It is neither. It is more a grayed mauve. Still beautiful, though. I will wear it for my grandson’s wedding.
