Basil Cotton Gingham Minidress

I purchased this dress directly from the Edikted website while it was on sale. When it arrived, the fabric felt unusually slippery for something labeled as cotton. I assumed it might have been due to fabric softener and decided to give it a wash. Later, while lounging at home in the dress, I noticed a loose blue thread from the main fabric (not the white stitching). Out of curiosity, I did a quick fiber test by placing the thread near a candle flame and it MELTED. That’s a clear indicator of polyester, not cotton, since cotton burns rather than melts. This kind of mislabeling is concerning. Beyond being misleading, it can pose risks for people with sensitivities or allergies to synthetic materials. I hope the brand takes steps to correct the fabric content listed for this item.
