CozyChic^™ Lite Island Cardigan

I now own 10 barefoot dreams cardigans, which is probably overkill but I live in them in fall - spring. This is the silhouette that introduced me to the brand. It drapes beautifully and can be worn very casually all the way through business casual. I'm 5'6", 135lbs, 34C bra size, size small in tops and size 6 in bottoms and the S/M fits me perfectly. Note that I do find that barefoot dreams cardigans shrink "up" after washing them, even though I follow the laundering instructions perfectly. The don't get tighter, but they do get shorter in terms of overall length and sometimes the arms get a bit tighter. I would suggest stretching the cardigan while it's damp out of the washing machine and then lying flat to dry.

Purchased during Anniversary Sale, and here I am months later writing a review in hopes that others will be warned about this shedding mess of a sweater. Is it warm and cozy and soft? Yes! However, I question the quality of the fabric because it literally sheds all over everything. My clothes, my car, and even my bag. I purchased the bisque color so I have no clue whether it’s just an issue with this particular color. I even washed it according to the instructions hoping it would resolve, and it hasn’t - still sheds everywhere. Considering the price point of this cardigan I would expect no shedding at all. I was considering purchasing Barefoot Dreams items for Christmas gifts, but can you imagine giving someone a sweater or blanket only to have it shed all over their stuff!? How embarrassing, no thank you!

I wanted one of these cardigans for years, love the brand and it’s so soft. But the shedding is absolutely out of control! Fuzz on my clothes, purse, shopping bag, eyes, food, in my dog’s eyes EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE. I’ve washed it, doesn’t help. I bought it in the summer and it’s too late to return. It’s not worth it for the mess it creates.
