Versatile & Classic
Great vest for the money. Love all the pockets. I wear this all the time while running errands or walking the dog and the easy-access front pockets are really helpful. I like how they don't have flaps but kind of wished they had concealed zippers. The length is also good as I am short (5'3) and unlike so many others out there, this vest isn't too long. It is a little stiff but I've only had it for about 2 weeks so I'm sure it'll soften up with time. I got the navy/pearl -- the color combination is very versatile, coordinates well with other clothes. The size 4 is the smallest option available I've seen (I'm not sure if it comes smaller). I'm 5'3 and 110lbs and this was a little roomy but that's okay b/c I generally wear it over other shirts. And for running errands, I prefer to wear relaxed, loose clothing anyway. Overall, great purchase.

Very stiff

Great vest, strange cut
I love Barbour products, but this vest was too big on me. I'm 120lbs usually wear a 4 in Barbour, but the bust area was too big. While the color was very pretty, the stitching was not the best quality. Or at least not what I expect from Barbour.
While this didn't fit me, I know it will look great one someone else!

gets better after wearing
I wear a S in most US tops but ordered an 8 because I find that British sizes tend to run small. I had to exchange it for a 6 so I'm going to say it fits true-to-size.
It was also a bit stiff at first but I've been wearing it a lot and it has softened up quite a bit. As much as I liked it when I tried it on, I was a bit worried about how stiff it was. I couldn't be happier that it has softened up. The waist cinch tabs let you make it look trim fitting. And I love the Barbour pockets too which are just perfect. The pockets alone are worth it.
I didn't like the Cream color which was not at all white-ish like shown in the picture---more of a light tan or ecru. Not a bad color, but not what I wanted. I exchanged it for the black. The green lining is very striking. A great vest (or gilet!).

Vest-appeal
Whether you are out hunting grouse, sipping wine at a boutique hotel, or walking your Affenpinscher in the park, this vest will rock the day. Lightweight with a flair that only Barbour puts forth. High collar with signature snap buttons. I found it missing the other day, only to find that my teen age daughter grabbed it for cover at a LaCrosse event. Dress up or down, you will be in comfort with heads turning your way.

Nice Vest
The material is lightweight, vest is very nicely made, and runs a size larger than usual. It has side tabs to narrow the waist, smooth deep pockets for keys and cell phone, and is just the right length. Order a size smaller than usual, I had to return the first one.
